Man dies after being found shot inside car in Auburndale, police say

Deadly shooting happened near 3016 Reiter Drive

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – A man was shot and killed Sunday in Auburndale, police said.

The fatal shooting happened around 4 p.m. near 3016 Reiter Drive.

According to Auburndale police, officers found the victim, only identified as a man who was about 27 years old, inside a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.

According to a police news release, a preliminary investigation shows that the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, but the Auburndale Police Department “is urging citizens to exercise caution and report any unusual or suspicious behavior to law enforcement immediately as the suspect(s) are still at large.”
