ORLANDO, Fla. – The beautiful yet warm stretch of weather this week looks to stick around a little longer across Central Florida as the weekend arrives.

High temperatures Friday in the Orlando area will remain slightly above normal ― 85 degrees ― through the afternoon as conditions remain dry and sunny.

An onshore breeze out of the east will pick up in the afternoon, gusting as high as 20-25 mph, especially along the coast. Due to this setup, a high risk of rip currents remains in place at the beaches, making it a dangerous day to enter into the water.

Breezier conditions are expected this weekend, with gusts of 20-25mph possible and even higher along the immediate coast.

The large plume of dry air overhead will continue to erode into the weekend, gradually increasing humidity values areawide. There will be a slight 20% chance for a few showers clipping the coastline and weakening as they push inland on Saturday.

Afternoon highs Saturday and Sunday remain near 80 along the coast and into the low 80s inland. Overnight lows remain mild and well into the 60s each morning.

The chance of little rain stretches into next week, with a quick warming trend. Highs starting Wednesday will be getting close to the 90-degree mark.
