These traditional apple dumplings with a twist are a huge hit in Adrianna Iwasinski's home, especially with her son.
You'll need:

- 2 cans of crescent rolls (8 count)
- 3-4 tart apples
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 oz. can of Mountain Dew soda
Directions:
- Spray 13x9 baking dish or pan
- Peel and slice apples into 16 pieces
- Roll each apple slice in 1 section of the crescent roll
- Place rolled slices in pan in two rows, put extras along the side
- Melt butter, add sugar and cinnamon and pour over apples
- Pour can of Mountain Dew over all
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes
This recipe makes 16 dumplings and is recommended to be served warm with vanilla ice cream.
