2 adults, 2 teens killed in Alabama plane crash

Plane took off from Kissimmee

HAYDEN, Ala. – Authorities said two adults and two teenagers are dead after a crash in Alabama involving a plane that took off from Kissimmee.

The plane crash happened in Blount County near Hayden, Alabama.

CBS affiliate WIAT reports the victims are a 14-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, a 43-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, an official with the West Blount Fire Department said. Blount County Operations Commander Tim Kent tells Al.com the four are believed to be family members.

A Birmingham tower reported the plane going down around 2:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, WIAT reports. The victims were not identified.

Blount County 911 executive director Caleb Branch says the Cessna 210 was traveling to Jackson, Tennessee.

The Federal Aviation Administration was being called in to investigate.
