DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Two people were able to jump off their boat on Wednesday after it ignited at the Seabreeze boat ramp, according to Daytona Beach fire officials.
The Daytona Beach Fire Department said it was called to the boat ramp on the east side of the Seabreeze Bridge just before 2 p.m. by residents in nearby apartments, who had seen the boat burning from their balcony.
The 20-foot Sun Bird boat had ignited shortly after the duo started up the boat, and they were able to jump off the boat when the fire began, according to officials.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
