DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Two men are in custody after police discovered a mobile meth lab that they said reminded them of the television series "Breaking Bad."
Theron Greer, 38, and Douglas Williams, 40, were both taken into custody Tuesday morning after authorities received an anonymous tip.
Daytona Beach police said they arrived at a park underneath the Seabreeze Bridge on Sickler Road, and they found a recreational vehicle with its windows covered taking up several spaces in the parking lot.
Volusia County sheriff's deputies helped search the vehicle in hazardous-materials suits, where they said they found all of the chemicals needed to make crystal meth.
"I'm always out here just relaxing after work," Alicia Trotman said. "It's dangerous."
Deputies said the situation reminded them of the television series "Breaking Bad," where a former high school chemistry teacher turns to a life of drugs, manufacturing meth in his RV. Greer even resembles the main character played by actor Bryan Cranston.
Investigators said this case was dangerously real.
"I have a niece. A young niece, who likes to go to places like this," Michaelyn Weinhando said. "That is dangerous. There's a lot of chemicals. A small flame and it could ... poof."
Greer and Williams are being held at the Volusia County Jail on $37,000 bond each.
