OCALA, Fla. – A 31-year-old man is facing charges after Ocala police said they believe he shot another man Sunday morning.
Police said they were called to a home on Southwest Fort King Street in Ocala at 4:42 a.m. about a shooting.

When officers arrived at the home, they found a 27-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his neck and leg, police said.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he remained in critical but stable condition Sunday afternoon, Ocala police said.
Police said Lester Ray Smith was considered a person of interest after officers found him near where the shooting took place. Smith was later arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.
