PALM COAST, Fla. – Two Flagler County sheriff deputies stopped traffic for an alligator to cross the street Monday morning, a post from the Flagler County sheriff's Facebook page said.
"A trapper from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was called but before he could arrive on scene, the gator went to a wooded lot and back to its natural habitat," the post said.

The alligator began using the crosswalk at the intersection of Cypress Point Parkway and Cypress Edge Drive and made it safely across the street before the trapper could arrive.
After 30 seconds of stopped traffic, the alligator made it back to his natural habitat and the call to the trapper was canceled.
