It's not known if the body is that of a missing 8-year-old boy who was pulled out to sea Saturday while playing in the surf off New Smyrna Beach.
The boy's 11-year-old sister was playing with him and tried to rescue her brother, but she was pulled underwater and had to be rescued by lifeguards.
The body was taken to the Coast Guard station and given to the medical examiner, officials said.
An investigation is continuing.
