LONGWOOD, Fla. – American Muslim leaders have used billboards to urge President Donald Trump to "show love, compassion and mercy to all Americans in his executive orders."
After a new executive order banning immigrants from being admitted to our country for 120 days was signed by Trump Friday, American Muslim leaders across Central Florida said they hope the president will not use executive orders to single out any American group for unfair treatment.

"Fairness and equality are values that define the American experience for everyone in our country, and we must maintain them. The new ban on letting immigrants into America has many people concerned," AMCC Chairman Atif Fareed said. "Serving our neighbors through love, compassion and mercy are core principles of Islam and they are ways American Muslims are working to make America great."
American Muslim leaders in Central Florida said they're committed to "Making America Great" with love, compassion and mercy.
Leaders said five billboards along I-4 and I-95, along with radio PSAs, "are reminding people that American Muslims have a strong record of serving their neighbors and being active in the political process."
The campaign is being sponsored by AMCC of Longwood, which said its "commitment to serve their neighbors has never been stronger than it is now."
There are three billboards along I-4 near Maitland Boulevard, near John Young Parkway and near Orange Blossom Trail. Two billboards are along I-95 in Melbourne.
