Corrections officer injured in Orlando crash

Woman taken to hospital after being trapped in car

ORLANDO, Fla. – A corrections officer on her way to work was injured in an Orlando crash that left left her trapped inside her overturned vehicle, officials said.

The two-vehicle crash happened early Friday on Kaley Avenue at Bumby Street.

Officials said the cars collided, and the officer's car went off the road and landed on its roof.

The woman was taken to a hospital, but there's no word on her condition.

It's not known if the other driver was injured.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
