A man walked away with just scratches and bruises after a major chain-reaction crash left his truck sandwiched between two semis.
Kaleb Whitby says he smashed into a jackknifed truck Saturday while driving along an icy interstate covered with fog in Oregon.
His truck flipped over leaving him trapped inside. Moments later, Whitby, 27, saw another semi coming his way.
"When I realized what had happened, I looked out my back passenger window and I could see lights coming at me and so it was that time that all I could do was pray and close my eyes and hold on tight to the steering wheel," Whitby explained to KEPR-TV.
A photo released over the weekend shows Whitby stuck in his vehicle with just inches between the two semis.
After the accident, witnesses came to help pull him out. Whitby says he then went to help other people involved in the pileup.
Police say the crash began when a semi spun out on black ice on the road.
