Erica Pugh, 18, was in the stolen vehicle the night of Feb. 11 when her boyfriend, 28-year-old suspect Benjamin Holtermann, shot Pine three times. Holtermann ran away and was later found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, investigators said.

Pugh was indicted on Thursday on first-degree murder, grand theft of a vehicle and burglary of a conveyance charges.

Investigators said Pine was chasing after Pugh and Holtermann in an Orlando neighborhood during a car burglary investigation.

Pugh was originally arrested on burglary charges from the shooting incident and was arrested for armed robbery and aggravated assault from an incident with Holtermann days before the shooting.
