Fire burns through roof at Zellwood home

No one injured in blaze

A home caught on fire in Zellwood Sunday afternoon.

ZELLWOOD, Fla. – A fire started in a garage and spread to a home in Zellwood Sunday afternoon, according to Orange County Fire Rescue. 

The fire was first reported at 1:06 p.m. Fire officials said the fire was burning through the roof, and there was heavy flames and smoke when they arrived.

No one was injured and it's unclear if anyone was inside the home when the fire started.

Roads were blocked on Round Lake Road while crews brought in tankers to fight the flames.

The fire was extinguished before 3:30 p.m.
