Red light runner causes fatal crash

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol investigated an accident that killed one person and injured five others Saturday afternoon.

Troopers said the accident happened around 12:20 p.m. Saturday at Red Bug Lake Road and Aloma Avenue.

Troopers said 15-year-old Kyle Pacarro was driving a Ford SUV east on Red Bug Lake Road when witnesses said he ran a red light.

Troopers said Pacarro struck a car driven by 45-year-old Lora Bryan who was then pushed into a third car.

The third car overturned in the road, troopers said.

Troopers said the driver of the third car, who was not being identified, was taken to Florida Hospital East with minor injuries.

Troopers said Pacarro and his passenger, 32-year-old Rebecca Brancato, were taken to Winter Park Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Bryan, the driver of the second car also suffered minor injuries and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, but her passenger, 68-year-old Donna Guehrn died, troopers said.

Troopers said charges are pending against Pacarro.

The roadway was shut down for a few hours while troopers conducted their investigation.
