Fatal shooting in Orlando was over a landlord-tenant dispute, police say

Officers respond to 800 block of Dorado Avenue

ORLANDO, Fla. – A dispute between a landlord and a tenant led to a fatal shooting Thursday morning in Orlando’s Monterey neighborhood, according to police.

Officers responded around 11 a.m. to the 800 block of Dorado Avenue, the Orlando Police Department said in a statement.

Police say two people came to the home to settle a dispute between a landlord and a tenant, but an argument broke out and the tenant shot the two people.

There, one person was hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries while the other was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement reads. The deceased was identified as Angel Luis Santos, 40.

Police said they were not looking for any suspects at the time of this report.
