Man arrested for exposing himself to girl walking to Orlando school, police say

Gilmer Mauricio Medina was naked inside car, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 34-year-old man was arrested on allegations of exposing himself to a girl who was walking to school in Orlando, police said.

The Orlando Police Department said Gilmer Mauricio Medina was arrested in Osceola County on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior and exhibition and exposure of sexual organs. Video of his arrest was released by police late Monday.

According to detectives, the girl was walking to Howard Middle School on Friday when the incident occurred near Summerlin Avenue and Washington Street in Thornton Park.

Detectives said Medina was naked inside a blue sedan as he followed the girl.

The girl ran away and reported the incident to her mother, who then called police, according to officials.

Detectives are working to find out if the incident was isolated or if there are any other victims.
