Documents released in former Casselberry police chief investigation

Bill McNeil retired amid harassment allegations

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – Local 6 obtained a report surrounding the investigation into the former Casselberry Police Chief Bill McNeil.

McNeil retired last October after 26 years on the job amid allegations of abuse and graphic harassment from former colleagues.  He is currently being sued by six workers claiming discrimination.

In hundreds of pages of new documents released Wednesday by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, investigators say they found 73 sustained cases of discrimination that includes officers who say McNeil made unwanted sexual advances and sent graphic text messages.

The report did not make recommendations about what should happen to McNeil.
