The station recently introduced its new brand, News 6 -- Getting Results, which is the lens through which all of us here at News 6 view our news coverage, our commitments to the community and to you.

In keeping with that commitment, News 6 will begin a 4 p.m. newscast, featuring anchors Lisa Bell, Ginger Gadsden, Julie Broughton and meteorologist Tom Sorrells.

The one-hour newscast will feature breaking news, investigative reports, traffic and Sorrells with Pinpoint weather.

"Starting the 4 p.m. news is one part of our commitment to Getting Results for our community.  The newscast will allow us to provide in-depth coverage of important stories that affect our neighbors," said Allison McGinley, News 6 news director.  "Four o'clock in the afternoon is also a crucial time for anchor Julie Broughton to show drive-time traffic information, something that is currently missing on local afternoon newscasts.  Anchor Matt Austin will also join with local and national news everyone will be talking about.  There is no other newscast like it in Central Florida."

WKMG-TV is the CBS affiliate serving all of Central Florida from Palm Coast to the southern tip of Brevard county and Ocala to Sumter County. The station is owned by Graham Media, which also owns WJXT in Jacksonville, WDIV in Detroit, KSAT in San Antonio and KPRC in Houston.
