UCF students fill fountain with 250,000 water bottles
Organizers hope to raise awareness about plastic waste
ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Central Florida's Reflection Pond was filled with plastic water bottles as part of a campaign to raise awareness about waste generated at the school.
Students Wednesday littered the pond with 250,000 plastic bottles.
Organizers say they will be handing out information to students as they walk by the pond.
Once the event is over, the bottles will be collected and recycled.
