LAKELAND, Fla. – About 100 people, including a man dressed as a French maid and wearing a dog collar, were arrested in a prostitution sting in Central Florida.
The arrestees, busted as part of Operation Naughty Not Nice in Polk County, also included a teacher and a theme park worker.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office said Monday that 95 people, ranging from 15 to 68 years old, were caught in the sting, meeting an undercover agent instead of a prostitute at a hotel.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said one man, though, was the poster child of the week-long operation.
"He rode a bike clear across Lakeland wearing his French maid outfit with his dog collar around his neck," Judd said.
Video released by the Sheriff's Office shows the man in a hotel room wearing the outfit.
Investigators said four call girls, two sets of twins, a math teacher at Lakeland High School and a mother who left her 2-year-old in a car with her significant other were also nabbed in the sting.
Judd said one man, identified as Maurice Laws, was arrested last year in a similar operation at the same hotel.
Judd said three women are believed to have been forced into prostitution, and authorities are investigating whether any of the arrestees could be connected to human trafficking.
