Deputies said a 911 call was made around 3:15 p.m. Monday, with the caller reporting a shooting in the 4500 block of Canal Street in Bunnell.

Deputies said after an argument over auto parts, two men returned to Canal Street armed with assault-type weapons, and one of them, later identified by authorities as Sarmento,  fired several shots into an unoccupied vehicle while others were standing nearby.

No one was injured in the shooting.

The gunmen fled, said deputies, who added that an investigation led them to a nearby home, where Dacotah W. Clarke, 19, was arrested. He faces five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the Flagler County Jail. An AR-15 type weapon was recovered at the time of Clarke’s arrest, deputies said.

Sarmento was last seen in the area armed with an assault-style weapon, deputies said.  He's about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 136 pounds. Sarmento is currently wanted on multiple counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Additional charges are also expected as the investigation continues.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Sarmento is asked to call 911.
