ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The ex-girlfriend of accused double murderer Markeith Loyd had to be escorted out of court after a profanity-laced outburst Monday morning.
Jameis Slaughter, 26, was arrested during the manhunt for Loyd, who authorities say fatally shot his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Sade Dixon, and Orlando Police Lt. Debra Clayton.
Slaughter was arrested in January on a charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder for allegedly giving Loyd money after Dixon's death. That charge was dropped in March after Loyd's arrest.
Slaughter is still facing a charge of providing a false name to law enforcement because authorities say she gave her twin sister's name in lieu of her own during her January arrest.
She was in court Monday morning for a status hearing in relation to her mental health evaluation.
"No, no, no, no, no. He don't need to be putting (expletive) in my face," Slaughter said, gesturing toward a News 6 cameraman.
Moments later, two court deputies escorted Slaughter from the room.
"Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't (expletive) touch me," Slaughter told the deputies.
On Aug. 3, the court appointed a third expert to examine Slaughter to determine whether or not she is competent to stand trial. Slaughter has been previously deemed incompetent to stand trial.
The hearing Monday morning was continued to Nov. 3, court records show.
