Markeith Loyd's ex-girlfriend Jameis Slaughter incompetent to stand trial

Slaughter charged with lying to investigators during manhunt

ORLANDO, Fla. – The ex-girlfriend of accused double murderer Markeith Loyd was ruled incompetent to stand trial during a court hearing on Wednesday.

Jameis Slaughter was evaluated by three doctors who found that she is not currently competent to proceed. She will be re-evaluated within six months.

She is accused of providing investigators with a false name during the manhunt for Loyd.

Loyd is accused of killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Sade Dixon, and Orlando police Lt. Debra Clayton. 

During her last court appearance, Slaughter had to be escorted from the courtroom after she started swearing because news cameras were present.
