ORLANDO, Fla. – A partial interchange between State Road 417 and Florida's Turnpike is open.
Motorists are now able to drive on new ramps between the Turnpike northbound to S.R. 417 northbound, and and from southbound S.R. 417 and the southbound Turnpike, according to the Central Florida Expressway Authority.
Authority officials say the new ramps will make it easier for drivers to get to Orlando International Airport and the Medical City complex in the Lake Nona area, from south Orange and Osceola counties.
The Florida Department of Transportation is picking up construction on the remaining ramps, which will give drivers full access between the two roads.
That work is expected to be completed next year.
