The home invasion occurred on the morning of Feb. 21 when two men broke into 50-year-old Dawn Gentry’s home on 6109 Perrine Drive and put a gun to her head, Orange County sheriff's spokeswoman Jane Watrel said.   Gentry’s son Geno Davis, 24, who was home at the time, shot intruder Rasheen Briggs, who died in Gentry’s front yard.

The second intruder who fled the home after the shooting showed up at Winter Park Memorial Hospital a short time later and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for a gunshot wound.

Gentry and her son were not injured in the shooting, but were shaken up, officials said.
