ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – A Rockledge police officer shot a 17-year-old late Thursday while responding to a burglary call, authorities said.

The shooting was reported at 11:30 p.m. on Hawk Street.

The teen was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center. He was listed in stable condition.

It's not known if the teens were carrying guns.

No charges have yet been filed against the 17-year-old.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the officer-involved shooting.
