TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Tenants of a Titusville apartment building this week said they are living with collapsed ceilings and water damages.
The supervisor of a roofing project at the apartment building on South Street told News 6 Wednesday that it was an accident that resulted in water leaking into the building's 13 units.
"Water was actually flooding through here," tenant Randi Parker told News 6. "It's been horrible."
Parker said without notice, Nassau Roofing began work on the building Monday.
Parker said on Tuesday they were not prepared for the rain.
"It poured a good 45 minutes to an hour before the tarp got here," Parker said.
Tenants showed News 6 the damages including caved-in ceilings and water damages to multiple apartments.
"I've never heard of somebody roofing in the rain," Parker said. "But I guess that's how this company does it."
News 6 called Nassau Roofing Wednesday and reached a man identifying himself as the supervisor of the project.
He declined an on-camera interview and called the damages, "an accident,” but said he's hired workers to fix the collapsed ceilings.
Parker said Getting Results would mean getting the attention of the building's owner and getting the damages fixed.
"Please help us get these apartments right," she pleaded. "We have kids that live here. It's ridiculous."
Nassau Roofing told News 6 that the roof and the damages that were caused will be fixed and finished by Friday.
