BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – After weather forced a scrub on Monday, SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon Heavy rocket from Florida’s Space Coast.
The ViaSat-3 F3 mission lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Kennedy Space Center.
Following stage separation, Falcon Heavy’s two side boosters landed at SpaceX’s Landing Zones 2 and 40 — known as LZ-2 and LZ-40 — at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
Both side boosters carry a track record of previous flights. One previously supported the SDA-0A, SARah-2, Transporter-11 missions, as well as 18 Starlink missions. The second booster previously supported the launch of the GOES-U mission.
