From August 12 until September 20, watch The Local 6 Morning News weekdays at 6:15 a.m. for the word of the day.
Then, enter the word on the Wake Up with Local 6 App on your smartphone or tablet by going to the "Wake Up and Win" link under "Morning News." You could win prizes like a MacBook Air, Smart TV or new laptop computer. Be sure to enter every day with the new word for your best chance to win.
If you do not have The Wake Up with Local 6 App, you can download it for free on your iPhone or Android device. Just search WKMG in the app store. [NOTE: Scroll through the results to be sure you're downloading the Wake Up App.]
One winner will be chosen at random each week. The winner will be announced on The Local 6 Morning News the following Monday at 6:15 a.m.
Once notified, winners will need to pick up their prize at WKMG starting Friday August 23, 2013, and every Friday through September 27, 2013, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. If you cannot show up on these dates and times, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be chosen at random.
