ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City Soccer Club released its 2016 season schedule on Thursday.
The Lions will open the new season at the Orlando Citrus Bowl against Real Salt Lake on March 6 at 2 p.m.

A home game is also scheduled on March 11 against Chicago Fire at 7 p.m. The Lions will be away at New York City FC on March 18.
Orlando will play 28 weekend games in 2016, with the Lions scheduled for six midweek games, according to a release from Orlando City SC.
“This is an exhilarating year for our organization,” said founder and President Phil Rawlins in a release. “The 2015 season marked a year of many firsts and learning opportunities for us and our partners. In year two, we will continue climbing the ladder and become an even more competitive team. Securing a playoff spot in 2016 is at the top of our priority list.”
