Walmart worker breaks into Volusia home while on break, police say

Woman clings to hood of car in effort to get back phone, police say

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – A man is facing charges after investigators say he committed a home invasion as he was on his break from his job at Walmart.

Investigators in Ormond Beach say the wild story started early Tuesday morning when Anthony Lee, 25, forced his way into a former girlfriend's home, stole her phone and then got into his car to leave.

Police say the victim then jumped onto the hood of Lee's car and hung on while he drove to a bank, even with him driving in circles to try and throw her off.

After stopping the car, police say the victim finally got off and Lee was arrested a short time later.

He is now being held on $15,000 bond.
