According to an FHP crash report, the motorcyclist was traveling south on Pleasant Hill Road when he lost control of the bike for unknown reasons, crossing the grass median in a southeasterly direction and striking a sign post.

The motorcycle then entered the northbound lanes of Pleasant Hill Road where it struck the left side of a sedan, causing the rider to fall from the bike, the report states.

The motorcyclist, who troopers said was wearing a helmet in the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 65-year-old Kissimmee man driving the sedan was not injured and remained at the scene, the report states.

FHP is still investigating.
