WINTER PARK, Fla. – A car ignited on Interstate 4 in Winter Park, causing a traffic slowdown in the area.

The car fire occurred around 11:30 a.m. Friday on I-4 west near Fairbanks Avenue.

One westbound lane of I-4 was closed in the area, but the interstate reopened a short time later.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze before noon. It's not known if anyone was injured.

No other details have been released.
