Northbound 417 shut down

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A 26-year-old man who wasn't wearing a seat belt was killed Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash, troopers said.

The man's 2002 Ford crashed at 2:40 p.m. near exit 54 for Rinehart Road, the Seminole County Fire Department said. The driver, Michael Landmesser, overcorrected after entering the right shoulder and drove onto the center median, the report said.

The vehicle flipped and Landmesser was ejected.

Landmesser, 26, was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital, where he died, according to officials.
