Blistering Heat before weekend storms

“Feels like” temperatures climbing over 100 degrees.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Tuesday afternoon’s storms have once again hugged the Atlantic coastline of Volusia and Brevard counties this afternoon. These storms will favor areas near the I-95 corridor until around 7pm. After sunset, our rain chances begin to shut down and we will see dry and humid conditions overnight.

Values expected between 100-105 degrees.

Your Wednesday will feature a similar pattern but a downtick in the storm coverage thanks to some drier air filtering in. We will wake up to dry conditions with a mix of sun and clouds. We will see this all the way through lunchtime, allowing temperatures to hit the mid 90s once again. Heat indices will once again reach the 100ºF-105ºF.

Slightly drier air moving in means storm coverage will be lower Wednesday.

Spotty storms will begin to develop near I-75 around 12pm and push eastward throughout the afternoon. However, with that drier air in place, coverage will be more on the spotty side tomorrow afternoon.

A cold front slipping south brings more moisture for storms.

Rain chances slowly build back in by the weekend as more moisture funnels into Central Florida thanks to a weak cold front pushing into the Southeast.

Rain chances increasing for father's day weekend.

This will bring more widespread rain chances for Father’s Day weekend.
