San Antonio dad wins Life of Dad #CheerioChallenge sweepstakes

3 families win all-expenses paid trip to Mall of America

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio dad has won an all-expenses paid trip to the Mall of America to celebrate Father’s Day after being selected as one of three winners competing in the Life of Dad’s second annual Cheerios Challenge.

Baldermar Guerrero, 21, along with his fiancée and their 1-year-old baby boy will visit the mall in Minnesota this weekend.

Guerrero told Life of Dad the trip this Father’s Day will be the first without his own father.

“I lost my father in the summer of 2016 and he was so amazing and such a big inspiration. I want to be the same kind of father to my son as he was to me. I miss him every day. It’s funny that I won this trip because I’ve been to the Mall of America once before with my dad and brother when I was younger. So to be winning this trip is a blessing from my dad. I feel close to him in memory and I’m so thankful and very excited,” Guerrero said.

The Cheerios Challenge is a viral campaign that began when a father posted a meme of his infant son with Cheerios stacked on his nose while sleeping. It was shared thousands of times with #CheerioChallenge.

Guerrero has been a member of the Life of Dad community for a few years.

“Once I saw the Cheerios Challenge sweepstakes, I immediately wanted to enter,” he told Life of Dad.

The three winners were chosen randomly.
