MIAMI – Royal Caribbean’s gargantuan and garish Icon of the Seas cruise ship is one step closer to calling Florida home.
The ship is now docked in Puerto Rico, where it’s being inspected before it arrives in Miami next week.

Jam-packed with activities, Royal Caribbean bills the 1,198-foot-long Icon of the Seas as the world’s biggest cruise ship, capable of holding up to 2,350 crew members and 5,610 guests at double occupancy.
The first-of-its-kind Icon Class ship boasts just about every kind of vacation amenity, from beachy relaxation to theme park elements, family townhouses and a swim-up bar.
Icon of the Seas won’t be alone on its pillar for very long, however.

Star of the Seas — Royal Caribbean’s next Icon Class ship — is expected to be around the same size and will call Port Canaveral home, set to debut in August 2025.
