PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. – Another Carnival Cruise ship will soon call Port Canaveral home.

Carnival Cruise Line announced its Carnival Festivale will sail from Port Canaveral in spring 2027. With a 6,400-guest capacity, the cruise ship will feature three brand new zones that will “celebrate music with new music-themed venues and immersive experiences,” a release said.

There will be an outdoor zone on the top three decks that is “a vibrant and exhilarating family fun zone that promises endless entertainment and unforgettable memories.”

It will also feature a water park with six slides, including two family raft slides. This area will replace BOLT, the Ultimate Seacoaster that is the top deck feature on the existing Excel ships, according to Carnival Cruise Line.

“Two different splash pads offer endless aquatic playtime with kids’ slides and spray toys, while dedicated baby splash areas that will let even the littlest cruisers get in on the fun,” Carnival Cruise Line said in a release.

For the first time, the water park hours will be extended into the evening to offer a night of fun with live music and other activities.
