Here are America’s most hated highways. 3 are in Florida

I-4 checks in at No. 45 on Volvo’s list

ORLANDO, Fla. – Car manufacturer Volvo released its 2023 ranking of the 100 most hated highways in the U.S.

Volvo explained that the ranking was based on a survey of 3,000 American drivers to determine which roads are most loathed.

The top three highways on the list all stem from California, though the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 70 in Colorado came in No. 3 and 4, respectively.

While Florida was lucky enough to avoid making the top cut, three of its highways were still on the list.

At No. 45, Florida’s lowest-ranked highway was Interstate 4, which the list claims is primarily known for “its heavy traffic and frequent accidents.”

Above that was U.S. Highway 1, which runs through the Florida Keys. The road is known for struggling with congestion, especially during tourist season.

The most-hated Florida highway on the list was Interstate 95 — especially in the Miami area, where traffic is frequently and heavily backed up.
