Linda and Clay in Ormond Beach have beautiful kitchen cabinets, but their pet guard on their cabinet doors marred and scratched the surface.
The pet guard was supposed to keep their cat out off their cabinets but instead it peeled off the paint. We could sand down and paint the doors but instead we’re trying a wood touch-up tool.

Step 1
Fill in the scratches. Essentially the touch-up tool is a special crayon for wood surfaces. The Guardsman package comes with several different colors of touch-up sticks (crayons). We picked white because Linda’s cabinets are white. We just colored in the scratches with the crayon – really. It was that easy.
Step 2
Buff the scratch. You can use paper towel for this. Lightly rub the paper towel over the surface of the scratch that you just filled in. This should clean off the excess crayon. It won’t look perfect, but it should definitely look better than it was and it’s a far easier fix that sanding and painting!
