For many teens, prom night is a chance to get dressed up, take pictures with friends and dance the night away.

That’s exactly what 15-year-old Mary Faith Musella did when she attended Night to Shine, a prom night dedicated to teens with special needs.
“Mary Faith is like everybody else,” her mom Tamara Musella told InsideEdition.com. “She is a thunderbolt and sunshine at the same time.”
Mary Faith has Down syndrome, but her differences were celebrated at the Carle Place High School in Long Island, New York – one of the more than 500 venues around the world that held the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine.
“I think people may misunderstand [...] because she's not answering the questions or she looks a little different. She's different but not at all. She's a teenager in every way, shape and form,” Tamara said. “To give them a night to shine like this, to be the kings and queens, to be in the spotlight, it gives them something to cherish.”
