If you need proof that the latest batch of shows to trend on Netflix truly has something for everyone, know that we’re about to dive into an alien dramedy, a Megan Fox controversy, and a rapper-turned-comedian’s satire.
Joining Netflix’s latest most popular TV shows chart is Season 1 of “Resident Alien,” an import from Syfy. Actor Alan Tudyk stars in this sci-fi dramedy as an alien sent to Earth in a larger plot to destroy the planet.

However, Tudyk’s character, “Harry Vanderspeigle,” an identity he stole, begins to question his mission after forming bonds with the residents of the small Colorado town he now inhabits. The show’s second season is also streaming on Netflix, and a third season premiered on Syfy on Feb. 14.
Speaking of pod people, the hit reality show “Love Is Blind” is back for a sixth season, which premiered on Valentine’s Day. The series features 30 single individuals who spend the early episodes in pods that allow them to speak to other singles without seeing them.
Eventually, the contestants leave the pods and try to maintain their connections in real life. This season’s cast is entirely from Charlotte, North Carolina, and their ages range from 25 to 37 years old.
One contestant, Chelsea Blackwell, has been making waves online after telling her pod date that her celebrity doppelgänger is Megan Fox, which fans didn’t quite agree with.
You can check out the first nine episodes of Season 6 now, before two more episodes come out on Feb. 28 and the season finale launches on March 12.
One of the more unusual new additions to the Netflix library is “The Vince Staples Show,” a limited comedy series where rapper Vince Staples plays a fictionalized version of himself.
Staples has acted on film and television before, as well as directing music videos and short films, but his five-part Netflix series, which premiered on Feb. 15, is a whole new kind of creative venture.
Featuring five surreal stories that center on Staples, the satire showcases a unique brand of comedy. Fans of the rapper and his show are already asking for more episodes, with Staples using the opportunity to apply some “peer pressure” to Netflix for a potential renewal.
