Were you right?
Memorial Park is located off Dirksen Drive in DeBary, Florida.
As you near the park, look up the small road-side hill to the north and take in the astonishing fighter aircraft poised to take off.
The twin-engine McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle on display is a tribute to Brian McVeigh, Airman 1st Class, Eglin AFB, who served as a crew chief in the 58th Fighter Squadron.
He was killed in a terrorist attack of the Khobar Towers Military Complex in Saudi Arabia in 1996.
On Memorial Day 1999, the park opened and was dedicated to veterans, departed local heroes and DeBary residents.
Continue to salute our veterans and service members by reading and sharing their stories.
