It only took a few days to go from temperatures near freezing early this week to temperatures in the mid-80s by the end of the week. It reminds me of this meme:

Thatβs the way it goes in Central Florida this time of year.
We actually started close to freezing in Marion County this week. Today, as well as tomorrow, we can expect high temperatures in the mid-80s.
The average high in Orlando is 75. We are running 10 degrees above the average.
We are pinpointing some rain ahead of a front that will cool us back down near the average this weekend. Click here for a look at your forecast for the rest of the week and the weekend ahead.
β¬οΈ Just look up for the βSnow Moonβπ

No, thereβs no comet hurling toward Earth but to see Februaryβs full moon, all you have to do is look up! Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges with you. The moon was technically full Wednesday but will still appear full tonight.
Weβre coming in hottt π₯π

Weβve had a stretch of some lovely winter weather here in Central Florida but worldwide, the temperatures continue to break records. Hey Insiders, itβs meteorologist Candace Campos holding onto the last few weeks of winter here in Central Florida. π·Snowing spider apocalypse π±

Now that I have your attention, happy Thursday, Insiders! Itβs meteorologist Samara Cokinos here to chat about it snowing spiders, well, kind of. I know thatβs not a typical forecast, but it happens.
As if Australia doesnβt already have its fair share of everything scary in nature, they also have a spider season. The land down under just canβt catch a break, can it? While simply researching this so-called spider season gave me the creeps, the story behind what causes this phenomena is actually pretty cool. Like Sophia Petrillo from βGolden Girlsβ would say, βPicture it.β Millions of tiny spiders falling from the sky looks like snow. Thatβs a big NOPE for me, but you can read what causes our eight-legged friends to take flight by clicking here. Oh, one more thing. Itβs happened in the U.S. too π³. Happy reading!
