You may be thinking, “Why am I getting a Florida Foodie newsletter on a Thursday?”
Well, you’re not. Unfortunately, Thomas Mates only works every other Wednesday to deliver that to you (jokingggg he works hard on the other Wednesdays, too).

Hi friends! It’s Brenda, back in your inbox for all the Central Florida happenings.
If you’re not drooling over the image at the top of this newsletter, are you OK 🤤? I took this picture at the 407 Food Fair I shared with you all last week and boy, was it amazing! So many local food trucks were out there and there were even performances, including drummers who hyped up the crowds🥁.
It was so fun to see so many people out supporting small businesses and even meeting some of the business owners working hard. We live in such a great community 💛.
I left you guys with a promise last week of a big event coming to Central Florida, and I always deliver. Here’s what is going on this weekend ⤵️.

Jumping back into action is the largest frog leg festival 🐸.
The 32nd annual Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival is back starting today, serving thousands of pounds of frog legs and gator through the weekend 🐊.
While the food is the main event, there will be carnival rides available for purchase 🎡. There will also be live music over the weekend.
Um, sounds like a no-brainer good time to me.

Beer and science, what a combo, right?! 🍺🧪
An outdoor beer festival in Orlando is putting “Science on Tap” and benefitting local STEM programs for all ages.
The event, run by the Orlando Science Center, features over 30 breweries at Loch Haven Park 🤤. Tickets are required though, so click here to snag yours 🎟️.
Our News 6 Insider guide Crystal Moyer took a deeper look at the science behind brewing beer. Click here to check it out.
Other happenings:
✏️ An old friend returns: MegaCon announced that “Blue’s Clues” star Steve Burns will be appearing at the convention at the Orange County Convention Center. Even better, tickets for the March event are already on sale. Click here to learn more.
🏮 Lunar New Year Festival on sale: Lion dancing, drum performances and live demonstrations are coming to the Orlando area with this year’s Lunar New Year Festival. This event sells out FAST, so get your tickets before it’s too late by clicking here.
⚔️ Another fun Brevard Renaissance Fair weekend: I first told you all about this fair a couple weeks ago, but this weekend is their Viking-themed event and I think that sounds pretty cool. Click here for all you need to know.
And that is all from me, your lovely friend 🫡.
If you check out any event, even if it was one I did not include, please share any photos with me 📸! Send them to me or share on our PinIt! page.
