ORLANDO, Fla. – One person was taken to a hospital and another person was shot at in an attempted robbery, Orlando police said.
The shooting happened Friday evening outside the La Quinta Inn in the 5600 block of Major Boulevard.
Police said the two victims were approached by a man who attempted to rob them both at gunpoint.
The gunman shot one of the victims and shot at the other victim, police said. The suspected shooter fled on foot and is still at large.
Police said the victim who was shot suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was at a local hospital. The other victim was not shot.
The shooter is described by police as a black man in his 30s who wore a blue shirt with white writing on it.
