ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies have identified the woman killed in an Orange County shooting at a home where three others, including a child, were inside.
The shooting was reported on the 7100 block of Somersworth Drive just after 4 p.m. Tuesday
Deputies said Richard Logie, 51, was found dead in the home and Edie Anne Cogan, 57, was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert, where she died.
According to police, early indication is that Logie was the shooter and it appears to be a murder-suicide, but the relationship between the duo was not clear.
Three others were inside of the home at the time of the shooting, including a child, deputies said, adding that screams were also heard just before the shooting.
"I didn't know what it was, I thought it was a door slamming, but I heard some expletives," said neighbor John Lewis.
Police believe the incident was contained to the home. There are no outstanding suspects, but police are continuing to investigate.
"There are a lot of families here," Lewis said. "It's a family neighborhood. There are a lot of children around so it's scary that something like this would happen so close to children."
