Florida Citrus Bowl parade shuts down downtown Orlando streets

Annual parade to have more than 3K participants

ORLANDO, Fla. – Marchers took to the streets on Tuesday in the annual Florida Citrus Parade in downtown Orlando.

The parade is a yearly tradition between the Russell Athletic Bowl and the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl games.

The parade began on Orange Avenue and Robinson Street, continuing south on Orange Avenue. The parade ends at Rosalind Avenue and Robinson Street.

Roads will be shut down in the parade route area from 8 a.m. til 3 p.m.

The parade will have more than 3,000 participants and more than 100,000 grapefruits, tangerines and oranges used to decorate floats.

Minnesota takes on Missouri in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl on Thursday.
