Man accused of biting Home Depot worker -- for 1 minute

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man accused of shoplifting bit a loss-prevention officer at Home Depot for over one minute, according to the Orlando Police Department.

Willie Clark, 36, was arrested on allegations of shoplifting $956 worth of merchandise from Home Depot near the Mall at Millenia.

When confronted by loss-prevention officers, Clark bit one of them, causing puncture wounds, police said.  Clark refused to release his bite for about one minute, according to police.

Clark is a registered sex offender convicted of two sexual batteries and was also on felony probation. He refused to consent for a blood draw.

The officer was treated at Dr. Phillips Hospital for his injuries.

Police said Clark was charged with violation of felony probation, retail theft over $300, felony battery and resisting a merchant.
